Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Tulsa recruits a Diesel Technician to perform maintenance and basic repairs on diesel and CNG trucks to keep the fleet road-ready.

You will work under shop leadership to assist with inspections and maintenance across brake, engine, emission, steering, and bearing systems. Responsibilities include performing PM, brake and safety inspections, completing work orders, ordering parts, and maintaining safe, clean work areas.

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge/experience of at least 1+ years.
• Willingness to learn more complex diagnostic and repair processes.
• Must read, analyze and interpret safety and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspection of brake systems, engine components, emission systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance including tire, oil and brake changes.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
• Under supervision, perform DOT, PM, brake and safety inspections on all vehicles.
• Complete work orders, order parts and perform administrative duties as required daily.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with safety regulations.
