Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 position within the Clinical Advancement Program. The role focuses on assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, with delegation to care staff as needed.

The position emphasizes training and development, with CAP requirements to advance, and includes collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and facility

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration with other Registered Nurses.
• Makes ongoing data collection and analysis of patient data for hemodialysis; documents in medical records and adjusts plan as needed.
• Provides education to patients and families about learning needs and treatment.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients in collaboration with care staff.
• Administers prescribed medications and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in staff training and orientation.
