Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry level professional registered nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 designation. This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, under supervision.

You will perform duties under supervision, participate in patient education, assist with lab collection, and collaborate with the care team as CAP requirements are completed to

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification current.
• Must meet practice requirements in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group during dialysis.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care per dialysis protocol.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and dialysis procedures.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and document effectiveness.
