Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a professional Registered Nurse CAP 2 for outpatient nephrology care. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for dialysis patients, coordinating with the care team to ensure safe hemodialysis delivery and quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes teaching patients and families, supervising staff, and supporting CAP requirements to advance within the Clinical Advancement Program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state RN licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR/BLS Certification.
• Minimum 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessment and contribute to planning and evaluation of care for dialysis patients.
• Monitor and document patient data before, during and after hemodialysis; adjust treatment plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options and care plans.
• Coordinate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians to deliver safe dialysis therapy.
• Administer medications as prescribed and respond to emergencies.
• Provide leadership, coaching and role modeling for staff and participate in quality improvement projects.
