Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a professional registered nurse Outpatient RN CAP 2 to join the Clinical Advancement Program. The role focuses on coordinating clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, with collaboration from RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and patient care technicians.

The position emphasizes education, leadership, and quality improvement within a policy-driven framework, with opportunities to precept new staff and advance within CAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
• Entry level for RNs with minimum of 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision.
• Collects and analyzes patient data around hemodialysis sessions and updates care plan.
• Provides patient and family education.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy with other staff.
• Administers prescribed medications and documents justification.
• Participates in education and quality improvement projects.
• May serve as Preceptor to new employees.
