Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for its Outpatient CAP 1 track. The role focuses on providing and coordinating clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, with ongoing assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

You will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and technicians, perform data collection pre-, during and post-treatment, and contribute to education and quality improvement within the team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during hemodialysis treatment and documents in the medical record.
• Delegates appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff.
• Documents and updates nursing assessment and plan of care in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Administers medications as prescribed and participates in emergency response as needed.

Education
