Job summary

Dialyze Direct is hiring a Registered Nurse in Florida for a full-time, day-shift role Monday through Friday. The nurse will provide high-quality dialysis care, document in EMR, and collaborate with nephrologists and facility staff. Travel to nearby sites is expected up to 25% with a focus on patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license, BLS certification, and at least 6 months of RN or dialysis experience; a 2-year degree is required and training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree required.
• RN license required.
• BLS certification required; 3 months hemodialysis experience preferred.
• Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and training to patients in dialysis settings.
• Collaborate with Dialyze Direct team, facilities, and nephrologists.
• Record health data before/during/after hemodialysis in EMR.
• Develop and maintain care plans to achieve outcomes.
• Perform labs collection, processing, and shipping as needed.
• Handle clerical tasks and patient charting.
• Maintain professional, respectful patient interactions.
• Occasional travel to nearby locations for coverage.
• Administer medications and document administrations.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• Full Time
• Day shift only

Key Responsibilities:

• Must be able to function at a high level with little oversight to provide nursing care, training, and home support (as needed);
• Works collaboratively with Dialyze Direct team members, skilled nursing home facility representatives and dedicated Nephrologists;
• Collects and records relevant patient health data in the course of/pre/post hemodialysis treatment;
• Develops and maintains a plan of care that describes interventions to attain expected outcomes;
• Implements and records interventions to attain expected outcomes in EMR;
• Performs laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures and reschedules missed or inadequate laboratory collections;
• Perform clerical tasks in addition to patient care (i.e., filing, inventory management, admission documentation, creating patient charts, etc.);
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude to all patients and colleagues;
• Occasional travel to other nearby locations; and
• Medication administration and documentation.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license
• 6 months of RN experience strongly preferred
• 3 months of hemodialysis experience
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association Required); and
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required
• This is a safety sensitive position
