Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a professional RN CAP 2 to provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing dialysis. You will work with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians under supervision to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The role involves assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, with opportunities to teach, lead, and participate in quality improvement and CAP progression.

Qualifications

• RN CAP2 eligible or entry level with CAP2 criteria.
• Experience in hemodialysis is beneficial but not required for entry.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practice standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient data before, during and after hemodialysis and document in medical record.
• Adjust treatment plans as needed and notify supervisor or physician.
• Educate patients and families on care and disease management.
• Direct daily delivery of safe hemodialysis with the care team.
• Administer prescribed medications and document effectiveness.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in quality improvement.
• Serve as a mentor and role model for new staff.
• Complete CAP requirements to advance career.
