Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Professional Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 2 track within the Clinical Advancement Program. This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned group of dialysis patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, with collaboration across RNs, LVN/LPNs, and patient care technicians.

You will participate in education, quality improvement activities, and may serve as a preceptor.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR/BLS Certification.
• Entry level for RNs with minimum of 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing collection and analysis of patient data during dialysis and document in the medical record.
• Adjust treatment plan as indicated and notify supervisors as needed.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and care.
• Direct and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy.
• Administer medications per prescribed or algorithmic protocols and document effectiveness.
• Lead, coach, and mentor staff as a team leader or nurse in charge as assigned.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and CAP requirements.
