Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse to join the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) in an outpatient setting. The RN will perform comprehensive patient assessments, plan and implement care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize dialysis outcomes.

The role emphasizes education for patients and families, medication administration, and participation in quality improvement activities. CAP requirements must be completed to advance within the program.

Qualifications

• RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; active state licensure; CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for assigned patients during hemodialysis.
• Document patient data and adjust treatment plans with the care team.
• Educate patients and families about learning needs and treatment options.
• Administer medications per orders or approved algorithms.
• Provide staff training and support as assigned.
