Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse (CAP 1) to join the Outpatient program. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a group of dialysis patients, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective hemodialysis delivery.

As part of the Clinical Advancement Program, you will learn integration of evidence-based practices, participate in staff development, and advance CAP requirements while maintaining compliance with policies and state

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Collaborates with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians to deliver hemodialysis care.
• Administers medications as prescribed and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Directs daily provision of safe and effective hemodialysis therapy for assigned patients.
• Provides education to patients and families about care plans and treatment options.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and team training.
