Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 position within the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

As a member of the End Stage Kidney Disease care team, you will participate in decision‑making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide nursing care for assigned patients.
• Document data and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on care plans.
• Deliver safe hemodialysis therapy with team collaboration.
• Administer medications per policy and document impact.
• Initiate emergency response when required.
• Mentor staff and participate in training.
• Manage lab collection, processing and rescheduling.
• Update nursing assessments and care plans with the team.
• Explain transplant options and modalities to patients.
• Complete CAP requirements to advance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
