Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Outpatient RN CAP 1 to join the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients in an outpatient setting, under supervision of the team lead and clinical educator.

This role emphasizes assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education for patients and families, with collaboration across disciplines to improve outcomes and maintain policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR/BLS Certification, current or successful completion.
• Must meet state practice requirements for employed location.
• RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience; dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties under supervision with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor, or RN team.
• Collect and analyze patient data during dialysis and document in medical records.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and treatment options.
• Deliver safe hemodialysis therapy with direct and ancillary staff collaboration.
• Support emergency responses and participate in staff training.
• Ensure proper laboratory collection, processing, and shipping.
