Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse CAP 1 for our outpatient setting. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care, assess patients, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes as part of the ESKD care team.

Under supervision, you will help educate patients, administer meds, monitor dialysis, and participate in quality improvement activities to optimize care and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Entry-level RN with nephrology exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or other RNs.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and documents in the medical record; adjusts the care plan as needed.
• Educates patients and families about treatment options and care plans.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and documents effectiveness.
• Initiates or assists with emergency responses and contributes to staff training.
