Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Los Angeles seeks an Outpatient RN CAP 2 to support the Clinical Advancement Program and oversee delivery of clinically competent dialysis care to assigned patients. You may supervise and coordinate tasks for RNs, LVN/LPNs, and technicians.

As part of the ESKD care team, you will participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current valid state nursing licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification current or recently completed.
• Entry level RN with nephrology nursing experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential RN duties under supervision and with educator guidance.
• Assesses and documents patient data during dialysis and updates care plan.
• Provides patient and family education on treatment and self-care basics.
• Directs safe, effective delivery of hemodialysis with staff coordination.
• Administers medications per policy and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in quality improvement activities.
• May precept new employees and support CAP requirements.
