Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care invites applications for an Outpatient RN CAP 2 in California. This entry-level role supports the Clinical Advancement Program, providing assessment, planning, and execution of hemodialysis care for an assigned patient group, with delegation to RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians as needed.

The RN collaborates with the Interdisciplinary Team, participates in education and quality improvement, and can serve as a Preceptor after meeting CAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current CPR BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs ongoing collection and analysis of patient data during dialysis and documents in the medical record.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per algorithm and documents effectiveness.
• Directs daily provision of safe and effective hemodialysis therapy for assigned patients in collaboration with the care team.
• Provides education to patients and families and supports learning needs identified by the care team.
• May serve as a Preceptor and complete CAP requirements to advance.
