Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 2 role in California. This entry- level to CAP-2 position focuses on planning, delivering, and evaluating care for dialysis patients in an outpatient setting.

You will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and technicians, participate in teaching, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives while supporting the Clinical Advancement Program requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
• Entry level for RNs with minimum of 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff.
• Participate in education and quality improvement activities within the facility.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and document effectiveness.
• Direct and provide safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients.
