Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in North Carolina seeks an entry-level Outpatient RN CAP 1 to join the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for dialysis patients, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

Under supervision, you will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and patient care technicians, participate in education and quality initiatives, and help ensure safe, effective hemodialysis delivery.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of North Carolina is required.
• Capacity to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Dialysis patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for dialysis patients.
• Coordinate with direct care staff and supervise tasks as needed.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options and care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and patient education programs.
• Respond to emergencies and document actions in the medical record.
