Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team and help scale our mission-critical public safety platform in North Carolina. You will focus on reliable cloud infrastructure, automation, and improving deployment workflows to support rapid software delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or related role.
• Hands-on AWS and/or Azure cloud experience.
• Proficient in designing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Terraform IaC experience.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting.
• Familiarity with GitOps and ArgoCD.
• Automation scripting to improve infrastructure operations.
• Strong reliability, security, and compliance practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability, reliability, security, and high availability.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Develop, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive GitOps practices using Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.
• Improve observability with monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting.
• Build internal tools to enhance developer productivity and reduce manual work.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve deployment workflows and platform reliability.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Own and drive infrastructure projects for scalability and health of the Mark43 platform.
