Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a DevOps Engineer to scale and maintain the infrastructure behind our public safety platform. You will optimize AWS/Azure environments, implement IaC with Terraform, and drive CI/CD and GitOps with Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.

You will collaborate with engineering and security teams to ensure high availability, observability, and reliable deployments while supporting a 24/7 on-call rotation for production support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional DevOps/Platform Engineering or similar infra role.
• Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Terraform and IaC practices.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps tools (ArgoCD).
• Experience implementing monitoring/logging/observability and alerting solutions.
• Scripting or programming to automate infra ops and tooling.
• Strong understanding of reliability, security, and compliance in cloud infra.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability, reliability, security, and availability.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for builds, tests, and deployments.
• Drive GitOps and automation using Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.
• Improve platform observability with monitoring, logging, and alerting enhancements.
• Build internal tooling to increase developer productivity and reduce manual work.
• Partner with engineering teams to implement DevOps best practices and improve deployment workflows.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure performance bottlenecks and potential failures.
• Participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation to support production systems.
• Own and drive long-term infrastructure projects for platform health.
