Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and scale our mission-critical public safety platform. You will manage cloud infrastructure, implement IaC with Terraform, and drive CI/CD automation across teams to improve reliability and developer velocity.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Security, and Product teams to ensure security, availability, and performance while championing best practices and a culture of operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE experience.
• Strong hands-on AWS and/or Azure cloud expertise.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Kubernetes, and GitOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability, reliability, security, and high availability.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to automate provisioning.
• Develop, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing, and deployments.
• Drive GitOps practices with Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.
• Improve platform observability with monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting.
• Build internal tooling to boost developer productivity and automate manual tasks.
• Partner with engineering to establish DevOps best practices and strengthen platform reliability.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks and potential failure points.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support production infrastructure.
• Own and drive long-term infrastructure projects for scalability and health of the platform.
