Job summary

Mark43 is hiring a DevOps Engineer to build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure powering our mission-critical public safety platform. You will enhance reliability, automate deployments, and boost observability across AWS-based environments.

Collaboration with Engineering, Security, and Platform teams is essential as you implement GitOps with ArgoCD, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Grafana. You will own and drive infrastructure projects, improve developer workflows, and contribute to the long-term

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and deployment automation tools such as ArgoCD.
• Experience with scripting or programming to automate infrastructure operations and tooling.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and compliance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability, reliability, security, and high availability.
• Develop, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for builds, tests, and deployments.
• Improve platform observability with monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Build internal tools to boost developer productivity and automate manual processes.
• Partner with engineering teams to adopt DevOps best practices and strengthen platform reliability.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure performance bottlenecks and potential failures.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support production infrastructure.
