Job summary

Mark43 is hiring a DevOps Engineer to build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure behind our public safety platform. You will partner with Engineering, Security, and cross-functional teams to ensure a scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environment.

You will leverage AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Grafana to automate deployments, improve observability, and drive platform reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting.
• Familiarity with GitOps and deployment automation tools such as ArgoCD.
• Scripting or programming to automate infrastructure operations and tooling.
• Knowledge of cloud reliability, scalability, security, and compliance best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability and high availability.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing and deployments.
• Improve platform observability with monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting.
• Build internal tooling to automate workflows and boost developer productivity.
• Partner with engineering teams to adopt DevOps best practices and improve deployment workflows.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks and potential failure points.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support production systems.
• Own infrastructure projects to improve scalability, reliability, and platform health.
