Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure behind our public safety platform. You will improve reliability, automate deployments, and enhance observability—enabling engineering teams to deliver software efficiently.

You will work with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Grafana to drive operational excellence. A 24/7 on-call rotation and cross-functional collaboration are part of the role; remote work is supported for US-based applicants.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps/Platform Engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Familiarity with GitOps and ArgoCD.
• Scripting or programming to automate infrastructure operations and tooling.
• Strong understanding of reliability, security, and compliance best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and own technical projects.
• Experience with 24/7 on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and maintain infrastructure for the mission-critical platform.
• Improve infrastructure reliability and automate deployments.
• Enhance observability with monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities.
• Develop internal tools to boost developer productivity.
• Partner with engineering teams to enforce DevOps best practices.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and potential failures.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Own and drive infrastructure projects for long-term platform health.
• Collaborate with Security and Technical Services.
