Job summary

Mark43 seeks a DevOps Engineer to build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure powering its public safety platform. You will focus on reliability, automation, observability, and enable engineers to deliver software efficiently.

You will work with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Grafana to improve infrastructure, developer workflows, and platform reliability, while contributing to 24/7 on-call operations and long-term project health.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related infrastructure-focused role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines for application builds, testing, and deployments.
• Experience implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and deployment automation tools such as ArgoCD.
• Experience with scripting or programming to automate infrastructure operations, improve developer workflows, and build internal tooling.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and compliance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize our AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and high availability.
• Develop, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application builds, testing, and deployments.
• Improve platform observability by implementing and optimizing monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Build internal tools and automation that improve developer productivity and enable engineering teams to deploy software more efficiently.
• Partner with engineering teams to establish DevOps best practices and strengthen platform reliability.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure performance bottlenecks, operational inefficiencies, and potential points of failure.
• Participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation to support production infrastructure and troubleshoot critical incidents.
• Own and drive infrastructure projects contributing to long-term scalability, stability, and health of the Mark43 platform.
