Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build, scale, and maintain the cloud infrastructure powering our mission-critical public safety platform. You will focus on reliability, automation, observability, and enabling engineering teams to ship software efficiently.

You will work with Engineering and Security to ensure scalable, secure, and highly available systems using AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Grafana.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps or related infrastructure role.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and deployment automation tools such as ArgoCD.
• Experience with scripting or programming to automate infrastructure operations.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and compliance.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and collaborate with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and high availability.
• Develop, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline builds, testing, and deployments.
• Improve platform observability by implementing and optimizing monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Build internal tools and automation that improve developer productivity and reduce manual processes.
• Partner with engineering teams to establish DevOps best practices and strengthen platform reliability.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure performance bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and potential failure points.
• Participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation to support production infrastructure.
• Own and drive infrastructure projects contributing to long-term scalability and health of the Mark43 platform.
