Batteries Plus is seeking an entry-level Device Repair Technician to provide basic repairs on smartphones, tablets, and other devices and offer remote technical support. This role supports training, inventory documentation, and shipping workflows in a combined office and repair environment.

The position emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication, and adherence to safety procedures while contributing to high customer satisfaction through effective problem resolution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
• Experience with device repair or technical support preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate repairs on devices (phones, tablets, consoles).
• Provide remote support for in-store repairs via live camera sessions.
• Assist teardown and reassembly of devices under supervision.
• Receive, pack, and ship devices per workflow and schedules.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Participate in live training observations to build repair knowledge.
• Assist with technical training activities and document repair steps.
• Contribute to written documentation for common repair activities.
• Support weekly cycle counts and maintain repair/shipping records.
• Communicate repair status and shipping information to stores.
• Escalate complex issues to management and uphold customer satisfaction.
