Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Development Associate to join the Cooley Dickinson Development Team in Northampton, MA. This on-site role supports post-award grants, donor records, and donor communications within the Development Office.

You will handle mail, deposits, acknowledgments, and serve as a point of contact for the office, working five days per week on-site at 30 Locust Street. A Bachelor's degree and fund-raising familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational, time management, problem solving, and project management abilities.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook; quick learner of new tools.
• Experience with videoconferencing platforms (Zoom/Teams preferred).
• Familiarity with donor databases (Blackbaud CRM or Raiser's Edge preferred).
• Attention to detail, creativity, and strong work ethic.
• Motivation to learn about fundraising and the organization.
• Ability to work with diverse audiences and adapt to shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Administers the post-award grants process with guidance.
• Generates mailing and email lists from the donor database.
• Processes mail and manages daily donation deposits.
• Coordinates donor acknowledgements (daily/weekly).
• Manages email communications platform and data integrity between systems.
• Oversees platform used by community members fundraising for Cooley Dickinson.
• Assists with processing charitable gifts and pledges with documentation.
• Handles daily administrative tasks and inquiries.
