Job summary

Sacred Heart Community Service in San Jose, CA seeks a Development Manager to lead fundraising and communications. You will oversee grants, develop strategies for donor growth, and supervise a Grant Writer and Development Associate to ensure timely, compliant fundraising activity.

Qualifications

• Five+ years leadership in nonprofit funds development.
• Four+ years as nonprofit grant writer or grants manager.
• Excellent writing for diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with CRM databases (e.g., Salesforce).
• Proficiency with Google Suite, Campaign Monitor, Canva, Squarespace, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead grant solicitation, renewals, and timelines with Grant Writer and team.
• Manage grant administration, reporting to funding sources.
• Develop policies to improve grant processes and train staff.
• Supervise Grant Writer, interns, and volunteers.
• Oversee annual giving, direct mail, and online campaigns.
• Support donor relations, events, and major campaigns.
• Assist in developing communications and storytelling.
