Sacred Heart Community Service in San Jose, CA, seeks a part-time Volunteer Coordinator to manage volunteer outreach and engagement within the Community Resource Development team. The role involves welcoming volunteers, coordinating orientation, and linking volunteers to SHCS programs with a focus on dignity and respect.

The ideal candidate is self-directed with strong communication and administrative skills, and is committed to SHCS’s mission to address poverty.

Formación

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required or preferred.
• Experience in volunteer coordination or customer service is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Detail oriented and highly organized with ability to multitask.

Responsabilidades

• Staff the Volunteer Reception Desk and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Manage the volunteer database, scheduling, recruitment, and assignments.
• Develop daily volunteer schedules and assign volunteers to activities and events.
• Recruit volunteers via databases, email, social media, and partner relationships.
• Coordinate teams of volunteers for large events and programs.
