Job summary

Community Youth Center of San Francisco is seeking a Development Manager to lead donor relations, campaigns, and fundraising operations. The role reports to the Director of Development and Communications and collaborates with finance, programs, and communications staff to grow contributed revenue.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, donor relations, grants, events, or related work.
• Experience supporting individual giving, donor stewardship, campaigns, sponsorships, or fundraising events.
• Strong writing skills, especially for donor-facing materials, emails, reports, and campaign content.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience using donor databases, CRMs, spreadsheets, or other tracking systems.
• Ability to work across teams and gather information from program, finance, leadership, and communications staff.
• Commitment to youth development, community-based work, equity, and culturally responsive practice.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Maintain donor pipeline and donor records in CRM.
• Prepare briefings and donor histories for meetings.
• Support Executive Director’s engagement with high-capacity donors.
• Draft donor correspondence and stewardship updates.
• Develop donor-facing materials and fundraising assets.
• Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns.
• Manage grant readiness and reporting infrastructure.
• Collaborate with finance, programs, and communications teams.
