Job summary

The Children’s Diabetes Foundation is seeking a Development Associate to be a force multiplier for the Executive Director and the Development Team. The role assists the ED with daily operations and supports donor outreach, stewardship, calendar scheduling, and travel arrangements.

This full-time position in Aurora, CO follows a hybrid schedule and involves managing grant processes, donor communications, and data integrity to enable the team to focus on direct donor interactions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an administrative role reporting to upper management.
• Grant writing and reporting experience required.
• Experience in nonprofit or fundraising office preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• CRM administration experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex scheduling for the Executive Director.
• Prepare reports, drafts, minutes, and filing.
• Coordinate and track ED-level projects and deadlines.
• Maintain donor database integrity and import records.
• Oversee grant writing: locating, applying, reporting.
• Create ad hoc donor reports and segmented lists.
• Draft and edit donor correspondence.
• Coordinate tax acknowledgment process.
• Arrange donor travel and meetings.
• Support Development team to improve operational efficiency.
• Lead recognition for partnerships and donors.
• Perform other Development operations tasks as needed.
