Job summary

National Capital Treatment and Recovery seeks a Development Coordinator to support fundraising, donor engagement, and board relations. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role leads tactical execution of fundraising initiatives, donor stewardship, event support, prospect research, and board administration.

The position requires strong organization, attention to detail, relationship management, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business administration or related field.
• 1–3 years in fundraising, development, nonprofit administration, donor relations or board relations.
• Experience supporting nonprofit boards or volunteer leadership groups.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Experience with donor databases and constituent relationship management systems.
• Experience integrating AI tools to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day implementation of the fundraising plan.
• Assist donor cultivation, stewardship, acknowledgment, and recognition processes.
• Coordinate annual giving campaigns, direct mail, email fundraising, and donor outreach.
• Track fundraising performance and provide regular reporting on donor activity and revenue goals.
• Maintain donor/prospect records in the donor management system.
• Assist with major gift cultivation and solicitation strategies.
• Coordinate donor meetings, site visits, and fundraising presentations.
• Prepare donor correspondence, proposals, letters, and impact reports.
• Coordinate board materials, meetings, and governance support.
• Develop reports and dashboards for leadership and board.
