Job summary

Children's National Medical Center seeks a Development Coordinator for Community Giving to execute donor outreach and peer-to-peer fundraising, supporting engagement efforts and events in the community.

This role focuses on cultivating donors, coordinating tours, and managing fundraising materials, data, and reports while collaborating with a dedicated team in a national pediatric hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field (Required)
• 2 years related experience (Required)
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint; Raiser's Edge, Adobe Creative Suite, and Donor Drive preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of prospects and donors.
• Participate in in-person/virtual donor visits under management direction; may be involved in direct solicitation.
• Host tours to prospective donors and prospects to demonstrate fundraising needs and steward giving.
• Manage post-meeting donor stewardship and data clean-up.
• Draft fundraising materials, briefings and presentations.
• Coordinate large projects or small projects independently.
• Provide project management for proposals, stewardship reports and donor communications.
• Enter and track donor information in Raiser's Edge to inform strategies and tactics.
• Provide high-quality writing and editing assistance on proposals and reports.
