Job summary

American Heart Association in Seattle is seeking a Development Director to generate revenue for the Go Red For Women campaign. The role focuses on securing sponsorships and donations, building relationships with corporate partners, and leading volunteers for events in the Puget Sound area.

You will manage donor data, collaborate with communications, and drive revenue targets in a fast-paced environment with an incentive plan up to 25% of base pay.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or other related experience.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel locally and overnight as needed; access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and move large objects with heavier items broken down or assistance as needed.
• Must have at least basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations. Achieve revenue goals by building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and donors.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors by conducting research that matches campaign goals and the Association's mission.
• Develop and present proposals and accompanying materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit and lead executive volunteer leadership, volunteer committees, and day-of-the-event volunteers.
• Coordinate the event auction including leading a committee of volunteers to solicit auction items and prepare packages that will raise funds.
• Lead and engage new individual membership for Cor Vitae giving society in partnership with other fundraising staff, including planning and implementing engagement events.
• Plan and implement events in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Manage and maintain accurate volunteer and supporter information within our CRM system and Microsoft platforms, ensuring data is current.
• Work with a Communications Director to support and promote campaign communication plans.
