Job summary

The American Heart Association seeks a Development Director for South Central PA, based in Harrisburg with hybrid work and local travel. You will drive revenue for Go Red for Women, coordinating corporate sponsorships, individual gifts, and event planning.

Responsibilities include building sponsor pipelines, presenting proposals, recruiting volunteers, and leading auctions and member engagement events. The role offers a base salary with up to 25% incentive potential and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or related experience.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel locally up to 75% and occasional overnight trips; reliable transportation.
• Experience lifting/moving objects and coordinating events is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorships and individual donations.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective sponsors and donors.
• Develop and present proposals to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership and event volunteers.
• Coordinate the event auction and lead a volunteers committee to solicit items.
• Lead member engagement events for Cor Vitae giving society.
• Plan events with internal and external partners.
• Support campaign communications with the Communications Director.
