Job summary

The American Heart Association, Inc. in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Development Director to lead Go Red for Women and Impact campaigns. You will recruit fundraising volunteers, secure financial contributions, cultivate individual donors and implement special events.

This is a full-time, field-based role with a hybrid schedule. You will drive revenue, meet targets, and earn an incentive up to 25% of base pay based on performance. 

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or related experience.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to do daily local travel up to 70% and some overnight trips as needed; requires reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations.
• Drive peer-to-peer fundraising to achieve revenue goals and document meetings and results.
• Volunteer recruitment, engagement, and recognition: recruit volunteers and provide orientation and training.
• Build powerful partnerships externally and internally.
• Identify and network with key donors and volunteers and broaden the network.
• Cultivate donors to increase engagement and giving.
• Organize local donor cultivation events and manage event logistics.
