Job summary

The American Heart Association, Nashville office, seeks a Development Director to drive local fundraising for Go Red for Women and related campaigns. This office-based role requires daily in-person presence in the Nashville area and offers a base salary with an incentive up to 25% of base pay.

You will build sponsor/donor relationships, manage volunteers, and collaborate on campaign communications while leveraging Heart U and local training resources.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or related work.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel locally up to 75% and some overnight trips.
• Ability to lift/move large objects as needed; teamwork may be required.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorships and individual donations.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective sponsors and donors aligned to campaign goals.
• Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership, committees, and event volunteers.
• Lead Impact Campaigns by coaching volunteer leaders to drive fundraising and engagement.
• Lead membership for giving societies; plan engagement events for members.
• Plan events with internal/external partners and coordinate with Communications.
• Maintain accurate CRM donor data and use Microsoft platforms effectively.
