The Bachrach Group is recruiting a Development Accountant to join our client’s team in New York. The ideal candidate will have 1–4 years of construction accounting experience and contribute to monthly reporting for development projects.

The role emphasizes accurate coding of invoices, balancing to the general ledger, and working with intercompany and budget reconciliation tasks within a development context.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of construction accounting experience.
• Monthly financial reports for development companies and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports for development companies internally and for external partners.
• Perform analytical and accounting studies as assigned.
• Assist in proper coding of invoices to ensure expenditures are reflected in the correct general ledger accounts.
• Assist in proper coding of invoices including analysis and reconciliation to ensure expenditures are reflected in the correct general ledger accounts.
• Track costs against Investment Committee approved budgets.
• Reconcile costs on Development Project Cost System to the general ledger.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and work with Transaction Services to clear reconciling items.
