Job summary

CBIZ Talent Solutions is seeking an Accounting Administrator for a growing construction client in New York. This role supports day-to-day AP/AR activities and collaborating with vendors, customers, and internal teams to ensure accurate financial data and timely cash flow.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of accounting experience in construction or project accounting, strong Excel and accounting software proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in a construction or project accounting environment.
• Experience with AP and AR data entry and processing.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process and enter Accounts Payable invoices
• Record and post Accounts Receivable transactions
• Assist with payment processing and collections follow-up
• AIA, Job Cost
• Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams regarding account inquiries
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed
