Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a Developer Advocate to energize and grow a vibrant developer ecosystem around ServiceNow. You will engage communities, produce technical content, and collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering teams to shape developer experiences.

You will craft blogs, videos, workshops, and talks; travel up to 20% for conferences and events; and help scale content as the Developer Advocate team expands. A strong writer and speaker with community-building instincts will thrive.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Developer Advocate or related role.
• 6+ years as a Developer or Engineer across cloud software, PaaS, SaaS.
• ServiceNow experience a bonus, but not necessary. A willingness to learn is!
• Video creation experience using Premier Pro.
• Experience speaking at technology conferences, blogging, video, and writing technical articles and contributing to popular open-source projects.
• Excellent communication skills as both a strong technical writer and a dynamic public speaker.
• Proven strong relationship building, especially in digital environments, to interact with peers, customers, and third parties
• Travel: Up to 20% annually

• As you grow in this role, you will support production needs of the Developer Advocate team, helping scale content creation.
• Identify, plan, and execute amazing developer experiences like hackathons, workshops, and meetups
• Help build and scale events and meetups to drive community collaboration.
• Help your established networks of developers understand why they want to be developing on ServiceNow
• Participate in social media and blogging activities to drive developer awareness
• Identify and drive action on new channels to reach and engage with developers
• Partner with a cross functional team including Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Events and Campaigns team to deliver our developer program content.

To be successful in this role you have:

• 6+ years of experience as a Developer or Engineer across any relevant disciplines including cloud software development, PaaS, SaaS.


• ServiceNow experience a bonus, but not necessary. A willingness to learn is!


• Video creation experience a plus, especially using Premier Pro.


• Experience speaking at technology conferences, blogging, video, and writing technical articles and contributing to popular open-source projects.
