Job summary

Smurfit Westrock Packaging Solutions is seeking an outgoing Local Sales Representative to build relationships with customers in the Detroit area and drive revenue growth. You will hunt new prospects, present value-added packaging solutions and manage accounts with a focus on service and results.

The ideal candidate demonstrates 3+ years of B2B packaging sales experience, excellent communication skills and the willingness to travel locally to meet clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of demonstrated sales experience within the packaging/containers industries preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong track record.
• Ability to travel locally in and out of selling area for meetings as required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate persistence and meet/exceed sales targets.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of key customers and targets.
• Architect and articulate packaging solutions through our distribution model; plan development of core client base.
• Establish sales budgets, strategies, and tactical plans by product line and market.
• Provide feedback to management on service issues and customer concerns.
• Utilize CRM and email to respond quickly to customer needs.
