Job summary

Block Iron & Supply is seeking a Detail­ing Assistant for a full-time, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM position in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The role supports the Detailing Department by scheduling and organizing project data in internal systems, coordinating with Estimators, Detailers and Project Managers to keep timelines and records accurate.

The ideal candidate has a HS Diploma or GED, strong Microsoft Office skills, and solid organizational and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with Estimators and Detailers and Project Managers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Sold board and add new projects to the Detailing Timeline.
• Update Detailing Timeline based on Sold board and Estimators.
• Maintain accurate status of projects in the Detailing Timeline as they progress.
• Perform project setup and data entry tasks.
• Review project information and BI Bid for each new project.
• Copy relevant documents from Estimate side to the Project side and organize in folders.
• Add bookmarks to plans and specifications for accessibility.
• Update Comsense with job name, number and shipping details.
• Review architectural plans and enter To/From locations into Comsense.
• Un-Bulk openings where identical openings occur in projects.
• Maintain Monthly Total, Detailer On-Time and Detail Goal spreadsheets.
