Broward County's Visit Lauderdale seeks an experienced Destination Services Manager to lead a new team servicing meetings and conventions of all sizes in Greater Fort Lauderdale. The role focuses on strong partner relationships and maximizing visitor impact through exceptional service.

The manager collaborates with the sales team to ensure seamless transitions from service to sales, with emphasis on rebooking groups and driving repeat business.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality or related field.
• Four (4) years of marketing, journalism, business, hospitality, event services, communications, or closely related experience with a minimum three (3) years' experience planning and executing complex, large-scale conferences and/or events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee an in-house team servicing meetings and conventions of all sizes.
• Be the primary contact for hotels, attractions, restaurants, transportation providers and partners.
• Forecast operational needs, participate in budgeting and strategy; communicate achievements to leadership.
• Adapt to last-minute changes and maintain a calm, solution-oriented approach.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality or related field

Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME)

Certified Meeting Professional (CMP)

Professional certification in marketing, advertising, tourism, or hospitality
