Job summary

Broward County Government in Fort Lauderdale seeks an experienced Destination Services Manager to build and lead a new GFLCVB Destination Services team. You will support group sales, sports sales, and special events by maintaining relationships with local partners and connecting planners with resources to maximize visitor impact.

The role emphasizes rebooking, seamless service-sell transitions, and a high standard of customer service.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, hospitality, journalism or related field.
Requires four years of marketing, journalism, business, hospitality, event services, communications or closely related experience with minimum three years planning and executing large conferences/events.
Preferred certifications: CDME and CMP; professional certification in marketing, advertising, tourism or hospitality.

Responsibilities

Oversee an in-house team servicing meetings and conventions of all sizes; manage hotels, venues and partners.
Serve as primary contact for hotels, attractions, restaurants and transportation providers; maintain strong relationships.
Assist with budgeting, strategy and forecasting; adapt to last‑minute changes and resolve issues quickly.
Utilize MS Office, Simpleview CRM, Cvent and event tools to support events and partnerships.
