Job summary

TEKsystems in Port Arthur, TX is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for onsite deskside support in a fast-paced enterprise environment. The role focuses on hands-on troubleshooting of desktop hardware, software, networking, and mobile devices, with strong customer service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Desktop/Deskside or End User Support experience.
• Strong experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Office applications.

• Understanding of networking fundamentals and command‑line tools.

Overview

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role is ideal for an IT professional who enjoys hands‑on troubleshooting, working directly with end users, and delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will support desktop hardware, software, networking, and mobile technologies while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Provide onsite deskside and remote support for end users
• Troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware, software, and operating system issues

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Desktop Support, Deskside Support, or End User Support experience

• Experience supporting Microsoft Outlook and Office applications
• Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and break/fix support
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and command‑line troubleshooting tools
• Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or similar platforms
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting executive or VIP users
• Experience with mobile device support
• Familiarity with Active Directory user administration

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
