We are seeking a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Technician to join a high-performing team of IT professionals.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Troubleshooting complex hardware and desktop/SaaS software issues
- Imaging, replacing, and installing laptops
- Providing responsive, customer-focused technical support across a range of environments
Expected Responsibilities
- Install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain endpoint hardware and software
- Image computers, install applications using in-house tools (SCCM / PXE boot)
- Respond to calls, chats, service tickets, and dispatched support requests
- Diagnose and resolve endpoint network, software, and hardware issues
- Install and troubleshoot hardware/peripherals (printers, headsets, monitors, webcams, etc.)
- Communicate proper computer use and policy to users with excellent customer service
- Provide ad-hoc training to users and groups on hardware and software systems
- Collaborate with other IT teams on complex incidents and request resolutions
- Maintain computerized inventory of equipment via our support platform
- Create and maintain knowledge-based articles
- Accurately record and update requests using ServiceNow
- Perform other IT support tasks as assigned
- Business travel may be required
Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A strong customer service focus with solid knowledge of PC and tablet platforms
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience supporting Windows 10 and 11
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365
- Background in operational environments involving infrastructure, service management, and agency/business interaction
- Experience using ServiceNow
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management)
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with SCCM, Cisco AnyConnect/SecureConnect (a plus)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma, GED, HiSET, or TASC certificate
- Experience: 5 years of IT experience in user support, desktop systems, and/or IT communication systems
- Equivalency: Additional education may substitute for minimum experience
- Certifications: Must obtain CJIS clearance within 30 days of start date
