Job summary

RL Canning, Inc. is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. This role provides comprehensive hardware and software support for desktops and laptops, and contributes to system rollouts and PC installations to ensure smooth IT operations.

The US base salary ranges from $45,000 to $50,000 annually (W2) with a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation and benefits remain at the company’s discretion and may be modified in accordance with applicable law.

Qualifications

• Strong technical aptitude in break/fix hardware, software (Windows 11 and macOS), and peripherals.
• Able to analyze and resolve complex technical issues quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills to work across teams.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple desktop support tasks.
• Experience rebuilding/reformatting computers; familiar with troubleshooting legacy Windows OS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for users of varying skill levels.
• CompTIA A+ Certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel to support client projects and corporate responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktop systems and related equipment.
• Manage desktop environments to ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-efficient service delivery.
• Perform hardware installations, upgrades, and repairs on desktops and laptops.
• Communicate effectively with end users to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Support main facility and off-site locations as needed.
• Perform other tasks to support business objectives.
