Job summary

Randstad Digital is seeking a Desktop Support specialist to provide technical support across hardware, software, and applications for local and remote users at regional facilities in Compton, California. Qualifications

• 3 years of IT support / help desk experience across onsite and remote users.
• Experience supporting Windows 7/10/11.
• Hands-on with M365/O365, Exchange Online and Active Directory.
• Familiarity with Cloud PBX (e.g., RingCentral) and networking basics (FTP, SMTP, VPNs, switches, routers).
• Strong communication, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• CompTIA A+ / Network+ or related certs preferred.
• BSc/BA in IT or CS is a plus.
• Experience in a 24×7 manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for users experiencing hardware, software, and application issues.
• Resolve user-reported problems using available tools while following standard support policies and procedures.
• Courteously obtain concise problem details and maintain accurate logging within Zendesk according to SLAs.
• Act as a liaison between users and the broader IT team to ensure accurate problem interpretation and open communication.
• Escalate complex issues to IT leadership as appropriate.
• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software while providing high-quality customer service.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of supported products and services.
• Train computer users on software and hardware systems as requested.
• Review, update, and recommend improvements to desktop support procedures and documentation.
