Job summary

Randstad Digital Americas seeks a Desktop Support specialist to provide frontline technical support for hardware, software, and applications across local and remote users in Compton, CA.

The role requires hands-on Windows, M365, Exchange Online, and AD experience, plus strong customer service and problem-solving skills. This is a contract position with typical 8am–5pm hours in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT support / help desk experience supporting users onsite and remotely across multiple sites.
• Demonstrated ability to support and install Microsoft Windows 7, 10, and 11.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft M365/O365, Exchange Online Administration, and Windows Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for users experiencing hardware, software, and application issues.
• Resolve user-reported problems using available tools while following standard support policies and procedures.
• Log issues accurately in Zendesk according to SLAs and maintain ticket integrity.
• Act as a liaison between users and the IT team to ensure clear communication during resolution.
• Escalate complex issues to IT leadership as appropriate.
• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software while delivering high-quality customer service.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of supported products and services.
• Train users on software and hardware systems as requested.
• Review and improve desktop support procedures and documentation.
